Both systems provide crystal clear voice communications. Globalstar telephones offer extreme portability and low speed data connections, and the Inmarsat telephones offer good portability and higher speed data connections.   Globalstar
The Globalstar Handheld Phone is a dual cellular(CDMA/AMPS) and satellite telephone connecting you today in places where traditional communications may never go. Smaller(12oz) than most cordless phones, the Globalstar Handheld Phone gives you crystal-clear digital satellite voice connections, connects to cellular systems where available, and provides real-world Internet and E-mail Access with the optional Globalstar Data Kit(9.6kbps data). A full range of optional accessories including Vehicle Kits, remote antennas and encryption devices is available. We also offer encryption devices for the Globalstar satellite telephones.		  

 
 

Inmarsat
308 SYSTEMS provides Inmarsat based BGAN and RBGAN satellite telephones manufactured by both Nera and Trane&Trane. In addition to clear voice calls, these high speed systems(up to 492kbps data) enable you to access the Internet and send and receive e-mail, video conference, data files, faxes and voice messages from one compact unit anywhere in the world. For maximum security, the Inmarsat systems can be linked to AES/DES/CITADEL and NSA Type 1 encryption devices.
